We are hiring for multiple positions in the User Experience team at the Lead and Principal levels. On this team you’ll have the opportunity to work on many of our B2B and B2C product areas. You'll shape Salesforce's user experience working with cross-disciplinary teams to bring your visions to life. You’ll make an impact while solving meaningful problems and creating new design patterns and paradigms.

As part of our team, you will take the lead in crafting and articulating the product vision through strong rationale, top notch visualization skills, thought leadership, and seasoned intuition, working closely with product and technology partners along the way. You will get your hands dirty in all aspects of end-to-end experience design including using storyboards, journey maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high fidelity mockups to illustrate design ideas and direction.

Clouds we are hiring for:

Commerce Cloud

Salesforce Commerce Cloud powers shopping experiences for some of the world’s most well-loved brands. We consistently push the boundaries of innovation making it easy for customers to deliver stunning commerce experiences anywhere, with the power of Einstein AI. Our UX team is looking for a smart, ambitious, open-minded Senior or Lead Designer in the Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA area to own design for one or more strategic product areas. Mobile UX

Salesforce is looking for a talented Lead Product Designer to join our Mobile UX team and help us deliver experiences that will impact the world’s top business mobile app and platform, supporting millions of sales, service, and industry users. As a Lead Product Designer for the Mobile UX team, you will design new features and contribute to the long-term vision of the Salesforce Mobile App, Mobile Publisher, and Mobile Platform. In addition to regular sprint activities, you'll be a central figure in evolving how Mobile sits inside the full Salesforce digital experience. You'll communicate clearly and listen carefully. You'll engage and inspire designers, product teams, and developers to do their best work, and give your best effort every day. You'll own your product area and drive innovation. You'll take responsibility for your work, celebrate your team’s success, and have fun doing it. You'll raise the bar for Mobile design at Salesforce.

Experience Cloud
We are looking for a Lead UX Designer who is excited to provide their unique contributions across our Digital Experience and Marketing products. As a member of our curious, highly collaborative and motivated User Experience team, you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to bring your ideas to life. You will be involved at each level of the product development process – everything from Customer and User insights gathering, future-visioning, prototyping to implementation and testing. You’ll have an opportunity to make an impact while solving meaningful problems and creating new design patterns and paradigms.

Salesforce Essentials is looking for a Principal or Lead UX Designer to help build the number one CRM for Small Business. We are seeking a designer who is passionate about small business and solving the challenges they face. As a core member of the product team, you will help define the experience and articulate the product vision through strong rationale, rapid prototyping, visual story storytelling, thought leadership, and seasoned intuition. You’ll work closely with other product designers, product managers, researchers and engineers and will get your hands dirty in all aspects of the end-to-end process. Experience with startups and/or passion for working within a fast-moving environment is critical. A skill set anchored in both design and front end development is also a big plus.

Platform Cloud (Automation)

As a talented and seasoned Principal Product Designer for Platform, you’ll be a leader; creating a vision for enabling the success of our customers. You will help shape the future of Salesforce Automation, our powerhouse suite of low code tooling used by application makers to build more dynamic and efficient business processes. In partnership with Product Management, Engineering, and Content Experience, your design team will have the opportunity to make a huge impact while solving meaningful problems and creating new design patterns and paradigms.

Salesforce Developer Experience

Salesforce’s Developer Experience team is looking for a talented Lead Designer to help deliver experiences that empower the world’s top developers to build great apps on the Salesforce Platform. For many, our Salesforce Developer website is where their journey starts: it’s the go-to place for documentation, inspiration, education, and community, and helps developers deliver continuous innovation using powerful tools built right into the Salesforce platform.

As a Lead Designer for the Salesforce Developer Experience team, you will build the vision, roadmap, flows, and product connections that reimagine our Developer website, and associated destinations, as part of a complete, unified experience that sits comfortably within the Salesforce brand. You will work across our suite of developer tools and assure that each can be discovered, understood, and used in ways that modern app developers love. You will build workflow processes alongside our front-end and content teams to assure that new assets and collateral can be updated easily and at scale.

Platform (Lightning)

As a talented and seasoned Principal Product Designer for Platform, you’ll be a leader; creating a vision for enabling the success of our customers. The Lightning Platform team designs critical tools for a range of user types to help them make the most of our Platform, from adoption of new features to implementation and user onboarding. In partnership with Product Management, Engineering, and Content Experience, your design team will have the opportunity to make a huge impact while solving meaningful problems and creating new design patterns and paradigms.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and delivering products in cross-functional teams from start to finish

  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices and you’re always looking to improve on your process

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile environment

  • Designing or maintaining Mobile Design Systems

  • Power to influence others and build consensus, while dealing with ambiguity

  • You can produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team

  • Self-motivated, a good communicator, able to balance great design while meeting short deadlines

  • Experience using analytics, user research and other approaches to help make decisions and iterate on the product

  • A deep appreciation and talent for simple solutions to complex problems

  • Expert knowledge of design tools such as Sketch, PhotoShop, Illustrator

  • BA/BS or MA/MS in design related field, or equivalent experience

  • Mobile design systems experience:

  • Great Systems Thinker

  • Ability to step back and see the whole ecosystem and provide solutions that better the entire user flow not only the feature.


  • Compellingly communicate your ideas to a wide range of key stakeholders

  • Function as a bridge across disciplines, such as Design, Product, Engineering, and Marketing

  • Collaborate closely with product owners, engineers and user research to create a vision for your product area

  • Own various web and mobile application features, interfaces and experiences

  • Create designs that adhere to and extend the existing style guide

  • Generate detailed specs of final designs that allow devs to build accurately

  • Work with devs and QE to deliver polished final product

  • Evangelize new interface guidelines and design patterns

  • Mentor new members of design staff
