This leader must demonstrate passion for talent development along with strongly embracing diversity and inclusion. The objective of this role is to provide dedicated leadership for the growth and development of the bioanalytical scientific talent at Lilly. Our team functions to support all modalities (small molecules, oligonucleotides, peptides and biologics) within the portfolio, across bioanalytical platforms (LC/MS, ligand binding, PCR) and spanning both discovery (non-GLP) and development projects (GLP). The bioanalytical manager must work seamlessly and strategically with internal scientific leadership as well as with external partners to ensure the delivery of the bioanalytical results needed to drive the portfolio forward.Do you have experience leading scientific teams and developing talent? Come join our team!Responsibilities:Provide strategic and operational leadership to the bioanalytical team.Manage external partnerships to execute portfolio needs including consistent delivery to timelines, including accelerated timelines. Monitor and manage metrics associated with external partnerships.Provide leadership for scientific excellence with a primary focus on people growth and development.Collaborate cross-functionally with discovery, non-clinical and clinical teams and ADME leadership.Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, and RandD Operations as needed.Establish and maintain a strong awareness and understanding of the external environment.Along with leadership, understand the external budget, recommend budget modifications, and understand budgetary implications of strategy implementation.Build relationships sufficient to enable clear understanding of cross-functional requirements and future needs.Interact with customers and other partners on bioanalytical issues.Minimum Qualification Requirements: Bachelors degree and at least 8 years of applicable experience or Master's degree and at least 5 years of applicable experience in research and/or drug development.Additional Preferences:Experience in bioanalytical analysis including developing and troubleshooting GLP assays.Strong understanding of the current Bioanalytical Method Validation guidance requirements.Demonstrated ability to partner with external laboratories.Knowledge of the ADME/Tox/PKPD organizationExcellent problem-solving skills and initiativeProficient written and spoken English language skillsEffective verbal communicationEli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively Lilly) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
