The Mission Integration Manager leads the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and strategies that support departmental and organizational initiatives for Mission Services while working within our Central Office - Indianapolis, IN.This position will provide leadership and counsel in animating the mission, ministry, and core values of Medxcel, while ensuring the integration of appropriate elements of spirituality throughout all areas of the organization.

  • Manage the implementation of mission integration and strategic initiatives

  • Evaluate mission integration performance and implement changes to better achieve service requirements and financial results

  • Provide guidance for leadership in the development of specific strategies, tactics, and tasks that are aligned with the mission, vision, and core values

  • Serve as strategic thought partner with leadership team members in all that pertains to identity as a Ministry of the Church continuing Jesus’ healing Mission: Catholic identity and Mission integration

  • Share in organizational development and change management efforts in ways that reflect Ministry identity, using tools as appropriate: Integral Model, Organizational Ethics Discernment Process, theological reflection

  • Responsible for the maintenance and development of systems and processes designed to ensure the ongoing formation of Medxcel leaders and associates

  • Responsible for the implementation of the Ethical and Religious Directives as appropriate to Medxcel

  • In the context of Model Community, lead Ascension Workplace Spirituality Initiative and extend use of the Integral Model as a visioning, planning, organizational development tool

  • Convene and facilitate work of a Mission Committee or Council

  • Serve as the Medxcel liaison to the TriMedx Foundation assisting with Mission Trip planning and facilitation

  • Use ritual and recognition as part of the culture and celebrate heritage and foster awareness of creating legacy for the future

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, spirituality, behavioral science, management or other related field or equivalent work experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • 3+ years’ leadership or management experience

  • 3+ years experience in pastoral care or related experience preferred

  • 5+ years experience in a role with strategic decision-making responsibilities preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Contemporary knowledge of Catholic Church teaching; knowledge of the most current Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services

  • Identifies with, shares in, and is deeply committed to the philosophy, mission, vision and values of Ascension and its sponsoring communities, bearing witness to the healing ministry of Jesus

  • Evidence of authentic and mature personal spirituality

  • Effective in using adult learning models and good facilitation to engage persons in formative experience

  • Effective leadership skills and advanced skills in group communications and processes, including skills of facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, etc.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including public speaking, strong interpersonal skills, active listening and the ability to project an open, non-judgmental attitude

  • Ability to network and directly engage with people of diverse beliefs

  • Collaborative project management and team building skills
