Lilly MS - Natural Language Processing - Intern in Indianapolis, Indiana

You will be part of a growing and dynamic Advanced Analytics and Data Sciences (AADS) team whose main goal is promote the use of Advanced Analytics to solve scientific and business problems throughout the enterprise at Lilly.
Key responsibilities include:
Participate in cutting edge research in natural language processing (NLP) technologies.
Collaborate with analytics team members to design, implement and develop enterprise-level NLP capabilities, including data engineering, technology platforms, and algorithms.
Evaluate and benchmark the performance of different NLP systems, and provide guidance on metrics and best practices.
Apply NLP and text mining technologies to answer business questions, solve business challenges, and make real-world impact.
M.S. student with at least one year of completed graduate work in Computer Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science, Information Engineering or related field

Deep understanding of NLP techniques and systems
Advanced knowledge of machine learning methods
Proficiency in preprocessing unstructured text data
Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, and R
Proficiency in NLP, text mining, and data mining open source tools
Deep knowledge in Deep Learning methodology.
Experiences with the Deep Learning open source libraries
Self-driven and high achiever
Strong communication skills

All interns will be considered for full-time positions based on their performance over the course of their summer internship.
