Oracle Oracle APEX Developer – US Military Veteran Program - VetTech in Indianapolis, Indiana

Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure. As a member of the IT organization, assist with the design, development, modifications, debugging, and evaluation of programs for use in internal systems within a specific function area. Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems. This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado. Create the future with us! Using Oracle APEX, this role will entail collaborating with business owners and translating the business requirements into technical solutions. Thus, well-refined communication skills are a must-have. As a contributing member of this team, you should be prepared to collaborate with multiple lines of business, and quickly adapt to the specific environments and needs of each one. Flexibility and multi-tasking are must-have qualities. This individual will need research and analytical skills to craft and build custom applications, maintain database and analytics environments, guide the project management team and provide insight into future technologies. They will also need to be able to communicate across multiple teams within Oracle – product, support, development, and marketing to name just a few. Additionally, this teammate will fix and debug existing applications and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Participation in the development of software user manuals and training users on new functionality of application upgrades are also required. Responsibilities and Daily Tasks: The Oracle APEX Developer primary job responsibilities will include: * Develop applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX) * Collaborate with business analysts, global process owners, others to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain applications * Collect and document user requirements * Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of application software * Design, develop and unit test applications in accordance with established standards * Participate in peer-review of solution designs and related code * Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications * Configure services for performance, security, and error handling * Analyze and resolve technical and application problems * Assess opportunities for application and process improvement * Assist in the collaboration required for shared development environments * Assists in resolving and carrying out development standards and best practices * Performance Tuning * Perform application related Security Required Skills and qualifications: US Military veteran recently transitioned from active duty or early-in post-military professional career BS or equivalent work experience in programming, department servers or systems.
