A growing, mid-sized A&E firm in Indianapolis, Indiana has an immediate opening for a Project Architect. This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of different projects, and always have something new to design.
An A&E Firm has opening for a Project Architect. This position works on diverse architecture projects across market segments and with varying degrees of complexity.
The Project Architect (PA or "Job Captain") will need to be able to take a project and run with it from the design and planning aspects. They will be working with a Project Manager (PM) who will do the master plan and QA/QC and much of the client relationship, but the PA will lead the team internally on the plan and design. This will include development of design, production of construction documents (plans), and the specifications for the project. This role will utilize Revit and they will perform design work.
Field work/site inspection
Construction Document (CD) lead
Schematic Design (SD) and Design Development (DD)
Various Construction Administration (CA) tasks
Attend project kick-off and construction progress meetings as requested
Develop client relationship and maintain a relationship for repeat business
Coordinate and interact with team members, senior leadership, and stakeholders; as well as, with external consultants- architects, engineers, and construction managers on project of varying scope and scale
Perform project problem solving/finding solutions
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVE: - Professional degree in Architecture - 3+ years of experience in architecture - Revit Proficiency- Fluency in BIM applications used to communicate designs and generate construction documents - Demonstrated project leadership in the community

This is a first shift position. The client offers "flexible hours" with start times between 7-8AM and end times typically around 4-5PM.
