Fiserv Project Management Advisor II in Indianapolis, Indiana

What does a great Project Management Advisor do?

This Project Management Advisor role will be primary liaison and Output process owner for project intake, Fiserv Technical Services, (FTS) engagement, holistic enterprise reporting standards and executive reporting. In addition, this role will drive key critical initiatives so support the Output Business. This position will also be responsible for the continuous process improvement processes for tracking, coordinating, and communicating portfolio related activities to decision makers and key stakeholders. This individual will operate under minimal supervision, with latitude for independent judgments.

As a Project Management Advisor, you can expect to:

  • Collaborate and consult with business, technology, operations and enterprise partners to have a holistic view of project requests, estimates and approval

  • Collaborate and consult with leadership in the ongoing use of structured and rigorous processes that deliver repeatable results, in the use of a consistent project portfolio delivery methodology. Facilitate governance where needed to drive decisions for highest value projects using quantitative and qualitative metrics (ensuring strategic alignment)

  • Drive the use of consistent estimating and planning tools for demand management in the support of best practices for program/project management. Monitors value metrics to consult leaders about decisions that maximize returns across projects and programs.

  • Engage in maturation of the PMO reporting and analytics function by developing and maintaining structured methodologies, processes, and procedures required to optimize overall enterprise value, including financial models to support benefits realization

  • Produce, maintain, and prioritize a comprehensive listing of committed projects and new project requests based on changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and inter-dependencies.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues pertaining to under/over allocation of resources using data driven analysis.

  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.

  • Utilize strong analytical skills applied to understanding business goals and translating them into actionable portfolio roadmap.

  • Have excellent understanding of business complexity and project inter-dependencies.

  • Have intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas with a consultative approach.

  • Utilize outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Lead change and obtain consensus.

  • Provide technical expertise and drive critical and complex initiatives.

Basic qualifications for consideration

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology or business-related field or equivalent professional experience

  • 5+ years of previous project management, program management and/or consulting experience in a technology environment

  • 2+ years specifically managing and maturing data analytics of a PMO

  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt Certification a plus
