About the Position

The Project Analyst M&A Integration, Finance Operations role is within Salesforce’s M&A Finance team. This team is comprised of professionals in the CFO organization who are responsible for partnering with Corporate Development and our global Finance and Operations teams on acquisitions. The role includes supporting a portfolio of Finance Operations integrations, working with cross-functional Lead to Cash and IT stakeholders on integration strategy and timing, assisting in implementing interim operating rules, transition, communications/change management & enablement activities with Sales and our Core Revenue Operations team. While the position reports directly to the Manager, M&A Finance, he/she will partner with members across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to interact with a variety of business stakeholders, learn about acquiring and integrating companies, as well as being a contributor to the Business Units that help drive our company’s incredible growth. A utility player who has both soft skills (e.g., strong communication, organization, time management) and hard skills (e.g., data analysis, Salesforce admin experience, Quote-to-Cash operations) with a keen eye for scaling operations for maximum efficiency will excel in this role.

Your Impact

  • Help prepare and gather data and inputs for executive summary updates for integration projects

  • Develop and improve internal project management tools, communications, and change management channels with Finance business partners

  • Create killer content for internal marketing and communication

  • Assist in establishing and monitoring integration project milestones, from planning to execution

  • Develop tools and methods to automate or optimize manual operational processes

  • Manage deal support escalations by consulting correct business partners to resolve urgent questions

  • Obtain SME knowledge of how acquisitions manage Quote-to-Cash processes, how data moves between systems, etc. and distill this information into high level summaries for department stakeholders

  • Translate the needs of the acquired business to our internal business partners

  • Resolve risks, and bring escalations and open questions to management, as needed

  • Document legacy, interim, and to-be Quote-to-Cash processes and create resources and/or work with Office of Transformation team to do this

  • Drive strategy for setting up Finance teammates with proper access to acquired ERP and CRM systems, and coordinate needs to keep acquired Finance systems up-to-date, and the eventual deprecation strategy

  • Find opportunities to optimize interim Quote-to-Cash processes, and recommend solutions to use more scalable options

  • Participate in internal planning sessions for Salesforce on Salesforce projects: using Salesforce products to manage internal Quote-to-Cash operations; escalate and resolve systems issues, as needed, to Product, BT, and other business partners

  • Support and manage data analysis efforts required for monthly operational review decks, and ad-hoc reporting

  • Partner with Revenue Operations teams, facilitating focus group sessions to find opportunities to strengthen M&A Finance handoff during full integration

  • Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in communications and change management, sales operations, finance operations, business operations, strategy & operations in a rapid pace, high-growth environment

  • 2+ years of Quote-to-Cash or equivalent work experience in Finance Operations or business operations

  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and experience across a portfolio of projects

  • Experience facilitating discussions and collaborating with other teams across many disciplines

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with or knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Order-to-cash and GL systems

  • High proficiency in Smartsheets, LucidChart, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Excel, Google Sheets

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Basic comprehension of revenue recognition and accounting a plus

  • Bonus points for prior experience in SQL, Tableau, Tableau CRM (Einstein Analytics)

  • Salesforce Administrator 201 Certification a plus
