PNC Quality Assurance Architect- (Tempus) in Indianapolis, Indiana

As a Quality Assurance Architect within PNC's Tempus Technologies organization, you will be based in Auburn, Indiana or can work remotely.

Overview

Understands the vision and business needs of our suite of products, as well as their base architecture and or existing capabilities. Ensures high-quality usability and performance of products by controlling the development of new products and complex enhancements from start to finish by creating innovative architectural solution strawman and serving as SME to developers during development. Develops architectural and design principles to improve performance, capacity, and scalability of products.

Essential Functions

  • Develop strawman architecture designs and reviews with technical leadership team

  • Maintain capability roadmap to assure capability development projects optimally align with client solution and business objectives

  • Consult with client engagement teams such as sales and PMO to clarify objectives and functional requirements for new products and complex product enhancements

  • Support Architects by translating functional requirements into technical specifications

  • Work with Architects to group functional and non-functional requirements into increments of working/testable software and obtain project management alignment and sign-off

  • Provide support to development teams during the software development and testing efforts, validating user requirements are understood and being met

  • Prepare database schemas and help developers in writing complex queries and improving query performance

  • Partner with QA team to develop increment test plans

  • Provide consultation to QA team during the software testing efforts

  • Develop broad knowledge about current and future product features

  • Develop/execute Performance/Load/Scalability testing tools

Experience:

  • Proficiency in any one of programming languages - Delphi, C#, Java

  • Knowledge of component design and software design patterns

  • Experience using Relational Databases and schema design

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to analyze and research information

  • Be able to keep up with a fast-pace environment

Job Description

  • Responsible for development and support of processes, practices and tools necessary to produce quality products/services and to manage risk.

  • Researches and recommends hardware and software purchases for software quality assurance program. Selects and implements formal QA methodologies.

  • Architects and implements agile testing practices and tools. Evaluates, recommends and implements enterprise-wide defect-tracking software.

  • Assists in planning and estimation of Quality Assurance support for new programs and projects. Conducts audits and reviews.

  • Supports Quality Assurance specialists on programs or projects. Conducts program reviews and complex process audits.
