Indianapolis, IN

About The Role

The Quality Control Inspector plays a vital role within our distribution centers by ensuring the quality of incoming receipts and outgoing client orders. Reporting to the Operations Manager of Quality, you will work closely with your distribution center leaders, the Ops team, and various cross-functional partners across the organization to deliver a consistent and seamless experience for our clients.

This is a great opportunity for those with an existing background working with inventory quality, and a knack for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, which is key for enabling our business to rapidly evolve while consistently delivering on our quality standards and expectations

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Triage incoming receipts that fail AQL inspection and coordinate our Buying team and vendors in the event an RTV is required

  • Conduct randomized audits of outgoing shipments, inventory storage, and various warehouse processes to ensure they consistently follow our quality standards, and sharing feedback with proper teams

  • Leverage your role as a subject matter expert on all things quality to train warehouse teams on processes such as AQL, shipment presentation, and product safety

  • Analyze trends in various quality reports and provide feedback to warehouse leaders on where teams are excelling and areas of opportunity that have a direct impact on cost, efficiencies, and/or the client experience

  • Work with cross-functional partners to ensure process and system evolution does not have negative downstream impacts on inventory quality, the client experience, or vendor relationships

  • Drive network alignment around quality standards and processes to ensure we consistently deliver a seamless and delightful client experience

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 2+ years of experience working with fashion products in a distribution center or warehouse environment and have a comprehensive understanding of garment construction and quality levels (i.e. meets expectations, minor, major, and critical defects)

  • You have existing knowledge of statistical auditing systems (e.g. Mil-Standard 105E / AQL) and children’s product safety requirements in the United States

  • You have superb communication skills and can build strong cross-functional relationships to help navigate discussions that lead to successful outcomes

  • You have meticulous attention to detail, excellent time management, and problem-solving skills

  • You love working with data and turning trends into actionable opportunities to improve operating costs, efficiencies, and/or the client experience

  • You are energized by being in the action -- you’ll be on your feet up to 8 hours a day, walking, and at times bending and lifting up to 50 pounds

  • ASQ, Six Sigma, etc. certifications a major plus

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You’re bright, kind, and motivated by challenge

Why You’ll Love Working at Stitch Fix...

  • We are committed to our clients and connected through our vision of “Transforming the way people find what they love”

  • We love solving problems, thinking creatively and trying new things

  • We are a successful, fast-growing company at the forefront of tech and fashion, redefining retail for the next generation

  • We offer competitive compensation packages and comprehensive health benefits

  • You will be proud to say that you work for Stitch Fix and will know that the work you do brings joy to our clients every day
