The Quality-Population Health Consultant serves as a liaison between quality/population health and data services in defining data roadmap and structure.
Collaborates with key Quality and PopulationHealth resources in defining data requirements, modeling, and structure
Monitors and evaluates quality data forintegrity and consistency
Collaborates with key providers in aligningquality data compliance to workflow
Utilizes expertise to collaborate with dataservices in development and support of a comprehensive data model
Collaborates with leadership in developingoptimized data models supporting quality initiatives and risk populationmanagement
Leads projects and reports on status asrequested.
Analyzes business functions; gatheringinformation; evaluating output requirements and formats
Analyzes requirements; constructs workflow anddiagrams
Explains formal requirements and designdocuments to client end-user and to the technical team members
Maintains user confidence and protectsoperations by keeping the information confidential
Prepares technical reports by collecting,analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Develops, publishes, and implements test plans.Writes and maintains test cases
Executes test cases as per the test plan toverify requirements and captures test evidence
Develops quality assurance standards
Interface directly with client end-user togather requirements
Document requirements in the form of userstories. Documents requirements and design to formal standards

BA/BS or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years' experience as a BusinessAnalyst
One year of experience in decision support,analysis or quality reporting
Some knowledge of public sector healthcare,including Medicaid, Medicare, and the insurance industry in general
Strong written and verbal communication skills,including grammar and business style
Track record with healthcare quality andpopulation health data requirements; structured analysis, design and analytics;report development; and, process improvement
Must demonstrate significant initiative,independence, ability to follow through, and an interest in learning ourbusiness are essential
Employees arerequired to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app,Interactive VoiceResponse (i.e.,entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Groupapproved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, inorder to keep our work sites safe.Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. Inaddition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected towear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained
You will beasked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location,however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to spacelimitations
Experience with NextGen preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare industry,including managed care, physician organizations, and experience developingQuality - Population Health analytics
Highly proficient using Microsoft Office(PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) to develop client-ready presentations anddocuments
Superior structured problem-solving, analytical,and quantitative skills
Experience in SQL and data reporting andvisualization is strongly preferred. Business intelligence experience isdesirable
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports andcorrespondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups ofcustomers or employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and dividein all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent andto draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding tocarry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving severalconcrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheetsoftware, and word processing software.
Highly motivated individual, able to takeinitiative and work under general supervision.
Must be able to multi-task between a variety ofIT projects and initiatives, track and prioritize them.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectivelyinteract with all levels of I.T. staff, vendors, and consultants.
Work requires good communication skills (bothoral and written) and demonstratedability to work as a team player.
Ability to independently manage all phases ofdevelopment including requirement documentation, building, configuration, bugtracking, testing, and validation
Strong communication skills between business andtechnical resources
Ability to work in a fast-paced officeenvironment
Ability to stand and sit for periods of time andto move intermittently throughout the workday
Ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel,crouch, or crawl
Good speaking and listening skills
Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight,good hearing, and dexterity
