We are in need of a high-performing employee to lead Delta's quality systems effectiveness and roadmap. You will propose and implement solutions that use Delta’s systems, data, and other resources to insure effective system solutions for the Quality department across all locations. You will maintain and improve quality's use of our SAP space and related areas, working with key partners in various departments to ensure results.
It is expected that the responsibilities of this new role will mature and change over time. The current vision for this role includes the following responsibilities and tasks.
Create the Quality Roadmap for SAP – be a visible presence and have ownership of how we can best use SAP for Quality at Delta
Review additional areas of SAP that are not currently in play; which should be further evaluated? You will provide cost / benefit scenarios to rationalize your position.
Lead related Quality initiatives including but not limited to updating our Document Control process
Lead the clean-up of documents / data as needed
Conclude current work and ongoing improvements for CAR’s, PPAP, reporting, and other facets of SAP, working with Delta's Business Intelligence group and others
Maintain common Quality practices; lead efforts to ensure consistency of approach and methodology across all Delta locations. This includes updating and maintaining work instructions and SOP’s for Quality’s SAP space
Audit the system data to verify appropriate usage; address training and other needs to ensure consistency in conjunction with the I.S. Solution Sustainment group
Facilitate a group of key users of SAP at Delta; this group promotes consistent practices within all Delta locations and provides a setting for communication and problem solving. The role may also lead the development of new / additional Key Users as needed.
Act as the central source for approving changes to the SAP Quality Module business practices with SAP and define the areas of integration and concern related to such improvement suggestions. Communicate and engage as appropriate with Quality Leadership.
Participate in regular Key User group meetings to collaborate on functional system changes (process, data, BI, security, etc.) and upcoming projects, challenges, best practices, etc. Seek multi-functional and cross-facility awareness and alignment on changes
You will be the SAP Quality Module System Security representative working with I.S. to support changes to security roles, auditing of roles, and approving requests for changes or additions to role assignments
Ensure the completion of user acceptance training (UAT) validations to support Break-Fix and Enhancement activities using appropriate template and evidencing criteria that approves or rejects transport to Production Client. This role will require extensive communication, working closely with I.S. and supporting SAP Functional Consultants
Be engaged with the quality leaders at all locations to identify and address gaps and needed improvements
Education & Experience:
Extensive knowledge of / work experience in SAP including the Quality Module strongly desired
Prior experience working in Quality for familiarity with quality concepts required
A 4-year college degree
Proven / demonstrated leadership ability. A thought leader, the successful applicant needs to be someone who can both lead people and manage activities and initiatives to a successful and timely conclusion
The ability to work independently, showing great initiative, is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
