Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center Research Operations Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Research Operations Manager will be responsible for the staffing operations of the IHTC Research Department. The Research Operations Manager will work closely with the IHTC Medical Director, the Director of Compliance and Community Programs, the Research Administrative Manager, and the Director of Quality Assurance in Clinical Research to ensure optimal efficiency, staffing, and resources for an effective research department.

Job Duties:

  • Supervise, mentor, train and support research staff

  • Planning and executing clinical research studies

  • Coordinate logistics of and lead weekly Research meetings and Research Coordinator meetings

  • Editing and proofing consents and other IRB and regulatory documentation

  • Monitor submission of all necessary IRB forms and study documentations submitted to the IRB

  • Review and ensure consistent, complete and timely documentation of IP infusions in clinic

  • Review Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reporting and oversee appropriate follow-up actions as appropriate

  • Monitor inpatient sign-out to ensure timing and accurate reporting of study subject hospitalizations/SAEs

  • Review physical exams notes and other study documentation to ensure consistency

  • Assessing quality of clinical research monitors

  • Occasional travel to professional research meetings and IHTC outreach clinics


  • Bachelor’s Degree in science related field is required

  • Certification in Clinical Research is preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical research coordinator experience is required

  • Minimum 5 years of supervision experience is required

  • Minimum 2 years of training experience is strongly preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance for work related travel
