Role Experience and Expectations

  • Expert ability to identify requirements and separate from auxiliary objectives

  • Requirements Analysis and Traceability both in policy hierarchies and the execution of engineering work.

  • Mature understanding of control inheritance models

  • Documenting how engineering solutions satisfy compliance controls (and inversely translate compliance controls to direct engineering solution development)

  • Production cloud computing experience (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)

  • Policy and Standards authoring

  • Task and oversee engineering teams (Systems, Network, and Development) in cleared environments (DevOps).

  • Modify in-flight tasking of partner teams to address change or addition of new requirements

  • Manage Continuous Monitoring projects

  • Define requirements of Vulnerability Scanning programs

  • Define and reviewing Penetration Testing activities

  • Draft and oversee audit rules of engagement

  • Direct IT Program self-assessments

  • Define, scope, and manage Blue team / Red team activities

Technical Skills/Experience

  • Work management systems (ticketing... E.g., Jira)

  • Data correlation and aggregation for reporting (spreadsheets or databases)

  • Systems engineering background

  • Production IT operations of a FedRAMP ATO'd program.

  • Strong security mindset, experience, or certifications (i.e. CISSP, The CIA Triad, TLS Handshakes)

  • AWS cloud security experience preferred

  • NIST/Fedramp/CIS/DOD iL4

Desirable

  • Application Development experience (if not developer, experience interacting with development teams)

  • Web-integration development (NodeJS / GoLang / RESTful APIs / MongoDB)

Experience

  • 5-7 years general experience with FedRAMP

  • 2 years minimum experience on a program with moderate or higher FedRAMP ATO

  • 5 years experience working on or managing requirements oriented projects

  • Operating in a cross-matrixed organization with multiple partner teams and initiatives
