Role Description

The Global Procurement and Sourcing (GPS) team is a global organization. We enable global procurement and sourcing operations by creating strategic relationships with our internal and external stakeholders, optimizing spend, and leveraging trusted systems of records to ensure durable growth for Salesforce. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to forecast, report, and provide insights into Salesforce’s GPS activities. In this role, you’ll be an integral part of the Salesforce's metrics organization, responsible for building models and dashboards, reporting on monthly results and KPI“s, updating our quarterly / monthly decks. This person should be familiar with analytics tools like Tableau and Alteryx to analyze data, provide insights, and recommend solutions to solve some of our most strategic challenges. You’re guided by data and you will not only support the overall success of the GPS organization, but help develop the reporting platform as a whole. As an analyst, you will work with GPS Leadership and supporting teams to drive accountability, compliance and strategic decision making for GPS and its stakeholders.

Your Impact

  • Working with very large data sets and leveraging Tableau CRM and other tools, develop dashboards and reports that provide reliable insights and visualization into GPS KPIs, projections and historical performance to identify trends or issues and turn them into actionable recommendations

  • Prepare and maintain compelling and executive ready slides for weekly, monthly, quarterly and other ad-hoc executive briefings, reviews and other key meetings with stakeholders

  • Work closely with Procurement Operations, Programs and Sourcing teams to enable insights, analytics and reporting capabilities related to supplier compliance, risk, performance, proliferation and the like.

  • Partner with Business Technology and Systems teams to continuously improve the quality and accessibility of our data and efficiency of our processes

  • Develop models and data solutions to contribute to the company’s strategy and goals as needed/requested by GPS leadership.

  • Help shape the company’s reporting platform by actively participating in corporate initiatives alongside a highly dynamic cross functional analytics teams

  • Partner with the Finance and Strategy team on monthly budget vs actuals reviews and other reporting, as needed

Required Skills/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field like Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, etc.

  • Minimum 5+ years of working experience with 4+ years of relevant experience in business analytics, business intelligence or comparable.

  • Strong MS Excel and Google suite

  • Strong knowledge of Tableau, Tableau Prep and/or Alteryx, including the ability to translate business questions directly into data-driven insights.

  • Advanced knowledge in SQL, including an ability to translate business questions directly into queries and create complex conditional joins

  • A passion for developing interesting slides, using Google Slides, Powerpoint, etc

  • Ability to provide rapid responses backed by data to executive questions and other key stakeholders

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Love of Technology, willingness to learn new systems

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Experience using Python, R, or another scripting language preferred.

  • Experience with the following systems: Hyperion, Smartview, Alation, Salesforce CRM, Tableau, Business Intelligence.

  • Experience with Supplier Diversity / Supply Chain / Vendor Management /Sourcing Workflows and Strategies
