The Senior Cloud Services Engineer enables cloud to provide optimal performance, continuity and efficiency in virtualized, on-demand environments. The Senior Cloud Services Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.We’re looking for someone who is well rounded in Cloud Networking, Database, Platform, and infrastructure support. Our team leads the initiative for automating operations in Azure and GCP Cloud. Our team is highly collaborative and solution driven to ensure accurate completion of requests. You will be a critical part in taking Cloud Operations to a steady state within Humana.
The Senior Cloud Services Engineer utilizes software that manages and monitors networks, systems and applications not only to guarantee performance to cloud software environments but also to better orchestrate and automate provisioning of resources. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will:
Engage in daily support for Azure and GCP Platform/Infrastructure
Provide 24/7 support for all Cloud outages affecting production systems
Be responsible for updating and engaging when monitoring shows issues related to Platform/Infrastructure
As a Senior Cloud Engineer will need
Hands-on experience with the administration of commercial web services, PaaS, SaaS, or IaaS.
Experience with relational database: data administration and data support operations.
Experience providing enterprise production operations support and 24/7 support.
A sense of pride and ownership towards service delivery.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Immutable Infrastructure principles
Knowledge of the DevOps culture and principles
Good oral and written communications skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience
5 or more years of technical experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Any Cloud professional/expert or associate level certification (Azure Cloud preferred)
