About the Role

Salesforce is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Strategic Portfolio team through team-forming, strategic planning, process improvement, communications and enablement. You will be driving operational excellence and best practices across the Business Technology portfolio encompassing multiple product domains, cross-functional teams, and business stakeholders. This seasoned professional will have exceptional communication and change management skills as they work closely with our OCIO, senior leadership, and IT teams across Product, Engineering, Support and other internal groups. A strategic thinker with agile knowledge and a drive for consistent innovation is a must.

Your Impact

  • Lead the successful development and implementation of transformative best practices, strategy and operations across the BT portfolio.

  • Support leadership in leading, scaling, and driving operational excellence across multiple product domains

  • Drive process excellence while striving for scale and efficiency for critical programs and IT initiatives

  • Define effective portfolio/program management processes, structure, roles, and responsibilities to the successful execution and delivery of business objectives

  • Proactively identify best practices and support product operations team development and maturity.

  • Drive portfolio executive briefing materials, including monthly and quarterly all-hands, quarterly business reviews, and portfolio review meetings

  • Ability to delegate and organize teams, work so they scale and achieve high quality, repeatable, consistent results.

  • Establish and maintain long standing, trusted relationships with stakeholders and business partners.

  • Balance business needs with technical constraints and offer creative solutions to negotiate tradeoffs as needed.

  • Lead business and IT executives in scope alignment and definition sessions, identify critical success factors, and drive mitigation of significant issues and risks

  • Implement and coach others in industry leading practices in charter development, communications planning, stakeholder engagement, roadmap development, metrics tracking and portfolio management

  • Effectively remove blockers and mitigate risks maximizing team productivity and ensuring delivery

  • Communicate people, process, and technology innovations across business, technology, and various leadership team.

  • Rally the cross functional teams that span over multiple time zones behind the initiative and hold teams and individuals accountable for timelines and deliverables.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage all Salesforce technologies.

  • Facilitate review sessions with all levels of stakeholders and the program team.

  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in CS, MIS, related technical degree or equivalent work experience with minimum of 3 years of technical work experience

  • 4+ plus years of portfolio management, operations, change management or related experience

  • Successfully led at least 3+ enterprise-level cross-functional transformational programs

  • Can work in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment

  • Self-starter, highly motivated, strategic thinker who is able to lead independent stakeholder conversations and provide thought leadership

  • Can drive process improvements and operational excellence across Business Technology

  • Strong communications, collaboration, and consensus building skills

  • Experience driving strategy into execution and leading complex programs

  • Comfortable with data analysis and presenting data

  • Highly organized and energetic with a passion for IT operations and innovation

  • Communicates a clear, vivid, inspiring, and relevant description or picture of project benefits/value to the customer

  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with broad range of business processes beyond those impacted projects

  • Able to interact with various levels of an organization both technical and non-technical to discuss comprehensive solutions

  • Demonstrates the Salesforce values of trust, growth, and equality

  • Salesforce background a plus

Preferred Qualification

  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Agile Methodology and LEAN Six Sigma certifications a plus

  • Prior Product Management experience a plus

  • Prior Change Management experience a plus
