DescriptionJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the review and analyze existing application effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.Design, build and implement new applications, web pages and web sites; integrating sites with back-end applications; migrating legacy applications to the web; and performing day-to-day administration of the organizations web portfolio.Assist with research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.Assist in developing strategies for improving or leveraging existing systems.Analyze and prioritize front-end backlog tasks for in-development applications.Assist with research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.Collaborate with developers, analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent work experienceAdvanced proficiency in the following areas:C#.NET CoreReactCSS/BootstrapMVCRelational database management system, preferably SQL ServerExposure to project-based work structures, project life cycle models, including agile development methodologiesKnowledge of database design and file management techniquesKnowledge of SOAP and RESTful web servicesHighly self-motivated and directedKeen attention to detailAble to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentBachelors degree required, or equivalent work experience in computer systems design or computer scienceAdvanced understanding of back-end/application developmentWork with application team to make sure that the components comply with software development guidelines and standardsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps/GITProficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around themGood understanding of asynchronous request handling partial page updates and AJAXExposure to project-based work structures, project life cycle models, including Agile development methodologiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent listening and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly languageAbility to research application development issues and productsCreative problem solvingVEVRAA Federal ContractorWe request Priority Protected Veteran and Disabled Referrals for all of our locations within the state.We are an equal opportunity employer.
