Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever expanding set of foundational cloud-based services.

Specifically, you will:

  • Manage projects spanning multiple external vendors, from writing SOWs to quality tracking

  • Apply project management discipline to own, establish and manage multiple project deliverables, communicate project and program vision and ensure resources are aligned properly.

  • Ensure technical risks associated with a project/program are identified and closed or mitigated to enable quality service.

  • Independently identify risks, manage corrective action plans when schedule deviations occur on timelines or budget, and escalate / communicate project health to senior leadership

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 2 years of experience managing the implementation of software products

  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence, analytical and leadership skills

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to partner with product managers to establish and maintain the roadmap by setting appropriate expectations and insuring our product and services meet our high standards for security excellence

  • Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through internal and external organizations and individuals

  • Being hands-on and willing to delve deeper into engineering problems, if needed

  • Experience working with technical team members, legal to drive complex projects
