Covance Software Engineer in Indianapolis, Indiana
LabCorp/Covance as a leading CRO engineers advanced solutions to help people and save lives. As a Software Engineer you will design, code and test industry leading solutions for the Drug Development/CRO/Central Laboratory space. You will also enhance and debug current suite of very large applications using cutting edge tools and techniques. Irrespective of the project, you will be working with some of the software industry's leading technologies, processes, and methodologies. You will be gaining vital experience from a mature organization in FDA/EMA/CFDA regulated validated global systems.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Work Location: Raleigh, NC Preferred. Remote work certainly an option for a qualified candidate.
This role includes coding, testing, and supporting the services as well as working with business analysts/ business unit to understand requirements or issues faced. You will work on Angular, JEE, RESTFul Services, WAS, Oracle, TestNG, Selenium, etc. using a DevOps CI/CD framework.
Required: U.S. Citizenship/Green Card.
Required Professional Expertise
Object-Oriented development and design principles
Computer Science fundamentals in data structures and problem solving
Great communication skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Hands on experience implementing SDLC using Java
Comfortable working with large code bases
Refactoring legacy code
Experience with RESTful web services
Experience with Spring (web, security)
Working knowledge of relational databases like Oracle
Tested development using Junit/TestNG
Knowledge of CI/CD processes
Experience working in Agile based environment
