Location/Division Specific Information

The Solution Manager is part of the Digital Science business within our Instrument and Enterprise Services (IES) division. Digital Science delivers market-leading laboratory and data management solutions. These solutions help customers advance science, become more efficient, and improve their bottom lines. ​Our offerings shape the lab of the future, by accelerating innovation and driving productivity. This remote position can be located anywhere in US, LA or EMEA.

How will you make an impact?

The Solution Manager is responsible for gathering requirements, generating user stories and design for pre-configured solutions (service accelerator templates) for DSBU lab informatics products. This person will provide direction to external contractors and members of the Digital Engineering scrum team. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Digital Solutions and will work collaboratively with the Program Management, Product Management, Internal Business Development and Data Science teams.

What will you do?

  • Gathering requirements, market research and VoC to understand customer needs within targeted industry verticals

  • Generate user stories, solution design documents and lead scrum teams through the implementation, testing and delivery of pre-packaged industry solutions

  • Hands on configuration and testing and review of scrum team work as needed

  • Collaborate with marketing to generate marketing collaterals such as videos, brochures, pitch decks and thought leadership

  • Partner with product management, sales and services to understand customer needs and define solution roadmap

  • Contribute to the identification and evaluation of partners to create integrated solutions

How will you get here?

  • Minimum requirement is bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline or 10 years of relevant experience

  • 3+ years' experience implementing Thermo Scientific™ SampleManager LIMS software and familiarity with Thermo Scientific™ Integration Manager software

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • General familiarity with APIs and webservices

  • Understanding of laboratory processes and methods either through direct experience or customer interactions
