SHI International Corp. Sr. Consulting Systems Engineer - Hybrid Cloud in Indianapolis, Indiana
The Sr. Consulting Systems Engineer - Hybrid Cloud will collaborate, build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding clients' hybrid cloud infrastructure. The Sr. Consulting Systems Engineer - Hybrid Cloud will demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. The Sr. Consulting Systems Engineer - Hybrid Cloud will be responsible for supporting large scale deployments and all underlying systems related to supporting on-premise/cloud computing workloads and IT project deployment. These objectives require critical thinking and problem solving in concert with effective industry tested tools to deliver exceptional value to our customers as we help them to select, deploy, and manage their hybrid cloud technology.
The Sr. Consulting Systems Engineer - Hybrid Cloud will report to the Director – Hybrid Cloud Solutions. This position is a remote position however may be required to report to the Stratascale headquarters office location as required for business needs as determined by SHI management.

Include but are not limited to:
Design, Install, configure, test & document hybrid cloud services from solution providers such as Dell EMC, Pure, Cisco, etc. in concert with AWS, Azure, Office 365 and GCP, operating systems, application software, management tools
Participate in pre-sales activity for deep-level whiteboard sessions and develop functional requirements for solutions with clients
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Design & implement security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Provide support for dynamic client information technology needs
Facilitate and lead proof of value / proof of concept activities, client demos in conjunction with the Customer Innovation Center
Minimum 7+ years of proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX, Linux, MS desktop and server, based environments.
minimum 3 years of experience with virtualization and/or containerization such as AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, Virtual Box, Citrix
Minimum 7+ years of experience with monitoring systems
3 to 5 years of solid scripting experience with shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python, VB, C++, C#, Java
Minimum 7+ years of solid networking knowledge in all OSI network layers
Experience working with large scale IT projects related to design, deployment, and configuration
Expert level Cloud certifications
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work individually without much direction while also working as part of a team towards a common goal
Designing and scripting skills

Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Ansible, Vmware vRealize Automation, Chef, Puppet, AWS, Azure and GCP
Experience with Windows operating systems
Experience with Linux-based operating systems
Knowledge of database designs and administration
Ability to configure and support SANs, NASs and clustering configurations
Must have the following active certs upon application: Dell EMC Architect, VCP, AWS, Azure, or GCP. This is a requirement.
It will be a requirement of the position to earn and maintain additional certifications when in role as determined by SHI management.
Position requires 50% travel
