Click here to view a brief video and learn more: https://youtu.be/YNuZN0vyzHg Job Description: This position is for a mechanical engineer that supports manufacture and repair of complex military applications in accordance with manufacturing and quality standards in a multi-disciplined team environment. The candidate must be able to develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity and guide the successful completion of major mechanical subassembly and final build and/or repair. Responsibilities include: Review the Bill of Material (BOM) for accuracy prior to release to production or overhaul and repair Answer technical questions from suppliers Resolve technical design and process issues during production, integration and testing or overhaul/repair Incorporate Change Notices, Variances, or red lined comments into CAD models and documentation Perform Technical Analyses of customer proposals in support of the Cost and Pricing Analysis (CAPA) process Work with Manufacturing Ops to develop Process Drawings/Description to assist technicians with assemble/manufacture of products Use Creo to design and document fixtures for Manufacturing Ops Draft Change Notices or Variances to support design changes required to resolve issues encountered during the manufacture or repair of products NOTE: Candidates with a current Secret Security Clearance or higher are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus if the Clearance is confirmed and hired by Raytheon. Required Skills and Experience: Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% Minimum of 4 years full time engineering experience Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the use of Creo (Pro-Engineer) Experience in a manufacturing or depot support role Experience writing/editing technical documents Strong understanding of structural materials and manufacturing processes Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks in an organized manner Basic MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Desired Skills and Experience: Current existing DOD Secret Security Clearance Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5) Experience performing tolerance analyses on individual parts and assemblies Design experience with defense-related products, familiar with common industry and military standards Knowledge of engineering process documentation (EPIC, ISO and/or CMMI) Knowledge of configuration management process Experience with Change Synergy Experience with Common PDM Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) Experience in developing and maintenance of Engineering Technical Data Packages (Raytheon Engineering Documentation Standards, IPDS) Knowledge of the Production Release Process Knowledge of PRISM Required Education (including Major): 4 years with a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with Emphasis on Mechanical Engineering. 123448
