What You Will Be Doing


At this time we are looking for engineers with experience in automotive chassis engineering, particularly with suspension design experience. Automotive OEM experience would be desired, but supplier, especially suspension supplier, more than acceptable. Individuals that would require little training other than our company specific areas.


Design and develop new products and support and maintain existing products to address continuous improvement in performance, quality, reliability, and cost.

Analyze structural components utilizing engineering practices and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Create and maintain product documentation: solid modeling of components and assemblies, technical drawings, bills of material, specifications, and Engineering Change Requests.

Generate project specifications, task lists, and schedule to meet project requirements.

Participate in cross-functional teams for the associated product lines.

Provide technical product support to customers, internal and external.

Perform as Lead on project by managing and maintaining project timing and progress.

Effectively interface with cross functional personnel (Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.).

Assist in the installation, testing, tuning, and evaluation of product on new vehicle applications.

Lead and support analysis activities as required - DFMEA, PFMEA, DFSS, DFM, etc.

Work with suppliers to incorporate standard or custom components.

Provide customer support as needed.

Job Requirements

Ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.; mechanical aptitude.

Knowledge of engineering fundamentals in Automotive industry.

Basic understanding of automotive chassis systems.

Be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-through skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must be able to function in a deadline driven environment.

Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and verification of employment authorization will be required at the time of hire.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, or higher, in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.

Minimum of 5+ years' experience in automotive/truck suspension design.

Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), preferably with SolidWorks Simulation.

Work experience with SolidWorks.

Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Must be able to multi-task, supporting and driving multiple project simultaneously.

Must be able to interact well in group setting in order to solve problems.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge about and/or experience with Advanced Quality Planning Processes.

Basic knowledge of fundamentals of manufacturing processes.

Automotive mechanical experience

Basic problem-solving methods.

Experience with shop or factory support.
