CXS Portfolio Sr. Project Manager /Program Manager

As part of the CXS Portfolio’s Project & Program Management Team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented individuals at VMware and lead projects that are changing the way we do business.
Own and drive wide variety of projects (ranging from tactical quick-win projects to large transformational programs) from start to completion in distributed, matrix environment applying most appropriate project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, Lean, etc).
Develop and execute detailed project plans, schedules, dependencies, critical paths, and other required project collateral.
Lead global, cross-functional project team members to ensure collaboration and accountability.
Provide clear communication to team members and C-level executives.
Bring thought leadership and hands on experience to the improvement and modernization of CXS Portfolio’s program and project management practices, tools and processes.
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related fields or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in project management, program management, release management and/or engineering management working on technical software engineering projects.
Advanced JIRA and Confluence skills and knowledge.
Creativity in discovering actionable results and ability to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced, global environment.
Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
Proven track record of collaborating and building relationship with C-level executives.
PMP, Certified Scrum Master or equivalent professional certification.
MBA or Master’s degree in project management.
1-3 years of industry experience as a software engineer or network engineer.
Familiarity with technical subjects in Cloud technologies and platforms, Data Center Virtualization, Network Security, IoT, PKS and emerging technologies.
Experience working in Customer Success organizations.
*Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply chain, industrial engineering, engineering, business administration or economics. Master’s degree is preferred *5 to 7 years of experience in management consulting and project management, leading multiple teams / workstreams or 7 to 10 years of direct management experience required as an operations manager, maintenance & reliability manager or plant director (manufacturing, supply chain, CPG, Food & Beverage, logistics are preferred) *Ability to lead, guide and coach project team members in areas such as production, maintenance, reliability, managements systems and sanitation *Ability to lead analysis studies in multiple areas and lead project definition and recommendations *Ability to interpret financial statements and P&L *Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite *Ability to be comfortable and credible in assessing impact of change, communication and training need *Ability to effectively design, gain alignment and successfully execute significant change initiatives from project start to finish *Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels of management *Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and keep information confidential is critical to this position
