The Regional Technical Alliance Manager is a high impact role responsible for ensuring adoption of VMware software and solutions and closing enterprise transactions within assigned Global System Integrator (GSI) alliance partners. The RTAM works closely with Partner Business Management to build long-term business relationships within their assigned GSI alliance partners in the United States.

Strong knowledge of VMware's portfolio and related cloud/datacenter industry solutions.
Has worked in a Systems Integrator environment or had significant experience partnering with an integrator organization or other channel partners.
Experience performing Solution Architecture for complex customer environments consistently utilizing best practice frameworks. Preferably has related certification (VCP, etc).
Strong customer and partner facing presence, with experience in presenting and engaging senior executives.
Significant experience in organizing, planning and running solutions workshops with customer technical and business staff.
Ability to collaborate with and motivate multiple groups toward accomplishing an outcome.
Enthusiastic, self-starter with a charismatic personality.
Proven track record of selling services as part of the solution.
Ability to travel as necessary.
Develop strategies and plans aligned with VMware and Partners business objectives, in conjunction with the Partner Business Manager. Regularly review and where necessary realign plans and remain focused on partner and customer needs to meet the specific objectives of both parties.
Build long-term business relationships and become a trusted advisor within each named GSI Partner. Develops and implement effective and actionable plans.
Serve as an "expert resource" to the GSI Partner in developing solutions for their GTM.
Understands GSI Partners Go-To-Market strategies and assists in supporting direct customer opportunities.
Present VMware vision, strategy and product roadmaps to executives and technical management.
