Senior Engineering Quality Engineer - ASPICE

We are looking for a new colleague in the Quality Improvement Department at our location in Lafayette, Indiana

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the project team with objective data about the quality of processes and work products in software and hardware as prescribed in ZF and/or ASPICE processes.

  • Lead the use of key quality tools and ensuring any non-conformances are resolved. Conduct internal process audits and assessments against ASPICE.

  • Identify quality requirements and standards for projects and products, defining the quality assurance strategy and documenting how the projects will demonstrate the achievement of quality objectives.

  • Facilitate and support FMEAs and reliability analysis. Analyze, prioritize, and track quality actions.

  • Lead various activities including clarifying process and quality related issues, PPAP requirements and serving as customer, supplier or manufacturing interface to projects on quality topics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Software required (Master’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification preferred)

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Engineering or Software Development required (Experience with safety critical automotive products (e. g. steering, braking) desired)

  • Significant experience with ASPICE required (ASPICE certification preferred)

  • Knowledge of ISO26262, APQP/PPAP and FMEA preferred

  • Excellent English communication skills are necessary (knowledge of the German language is advantageous)
