Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana Desktop Support Tech I in Munster, Indiana

Provides system-wide, first level I.T. user support for Community Healthcare System and Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana, Inc. The job includes answering phone calls and acknowledges online user requests to Help Desk. Resolves Level I incidents as defined by CFNI's Help Desk Incident Management Process. This position will include the completion of project tasks as it relates to desktop activities, which may include monitoring hardware and workstation software to establish and maintain documented standards within the Community Healthcare System. The Desktop Support Technician I will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and documentation of personal computer hardware, printers and terminals under the management of the facility. The Desktop Support Technician I must be able to work independently to plan work and escalate and report issues on a timely manner.

To Qualify You Must Have:

§ Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required.

§ Proven ability to troubleshoot, upgrade and support various desktop Operating Systems, MS Office applications including Windows 7.0/XP/Vista, MS Outlook, and Internet on desktops/laptops required.

§ Previous desktop work experience required.

§ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

§ Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

§ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.

§ Proven ability to interact with non-technical users at all levels within an organization.

§ Experience using ticket remedy system, PeopleSoft CRM help desk ticket system a plus.

§ MS Certified Professional certification preferred.

§ A+ Certification preferred

§ Desktop healthcare experience preferred.
