These individuals will be tasked with the challenge of optimizing all of our engineering design processes through several existing systems. The ideal candidates should be comfortable in design development, sustaining product design, and cradle to grave lifecycle ownership.Within this team, we are looking for 1 manager, 1-2 staff level engineers, and 1-2 junior engineers. For individual applications, please see additional job postings on our careers page.Microwave Product Engineering Manager:Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:Work directly with marketing and sales to review opportunities, strategize solutions and develop engineering cost analysis based on product scopes.Work directly with purchasing, quality, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, process engineering, outside suppliers, and other necessary groups as a cross functional team to develop products and solutions.Make significant contributions to design, development, and validation of connector solutions (including but not limited to components, cable assemblies, board interconnects, and microwave systems).Work hands-on to identify and solve problems during new product development and/or when quality concerns arise with product in the field.Manage departmental adherence to all corporate engineering standards, including but not limited to; product design and modeling, design simulation and optimization, design documentation and file management.Autonomously plan and schedule personal daily tasks and develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, personal experience and sound judgment.Manage both technical and non-technical personnel.Quickly identify and assess issues in the development and execution of effective plans.Delegate projects and oversee their progress, engaging when required.Establish metrics for the group.Required Qualifications:Minimum of 7 years design experience in microwave interconnects.Minimum of 5 years experience in a management role (microwave interconnects preferred).Must be a self-starter with strong leadership skills.Experience leading and working with technical staff.Excellent communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability.Excellent interpersonal skills in relating with both internal and external customers.Proficient in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).Experience in engineering design software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.).Experience in simulation software (Electrical, FEA, CFD/thermal modeling, Etc.) is preferred but not required.Experience in bulk cable design and manufacturing is preferred but not required.Experience in microwave substrate design is preferred but not required.Candidate MUST have proficiency in all of the following: GDandT, DFM,
