Works with Production staff to reduce defect by problem analysis and making countermeasures by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists engineer by performing a variety of duties such as testing, calibrating and adjusting equipment.
Operates equipment, conducts tests and reports data.
Works from drawings, diagrams, schematics, and specific verbal and written instructions.
Uses specified methods to inspect and test equipment; makes adjustments, modifications, replacements as directed.
Follows prescribed work methods; however, may make simple repairs.
Supports engineer by preparing materials, mold and machine for trial.
Executes the engineering trial in the absence of other available manpower.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
