The Marketing/Digital Specialist executes marketing projects that enable the Marketing Team to drive business growth and departmental continuous improvement. The Marketing/Digital Specialist executes Helmer Scientific digital programs by coordinating, scheduling, optimizing, and analyzing campaigns using Marketing Automation Tools. The Marketing/Digital Specialist works across the marketing team to ensure email, social, and blog programs reach target customers and meet assigned KPI goals. This position is also responsible for executing various customer and competitive research initiatives to enable both short-term and long-term growth initiatives. The Marketing/Digital Specialist creates deliverables including new marketing content, graphics, hero images, and collateral for sales partners and customers. In addition, this role supports departmental processes related to metrics and dashboards by pulling KPIs from Marketing Automation tool and providing summaries and counter-measures for optimization. Also drives other special projects as assigned to generate marketing qualified leads. Projects require both the ability to collaborate across multiple cross-functional teams as well as execute individually using teamwork, organization, digital, and strong written and oral communication skills.

Essential functions:

  • Promotes Helmer values as demonstrated in personal productivity and quality of work, management of internal/external relationships, actively seeking out and participating in Continuous Improvement practices, and willingness to engage and support team initiatives.

  • Coordinate and execute campaigns as directed using Marketing Automation tool. Includes but not limited to writing, formatting, scheduling and/or posting blogs; creating and optimizing landing pages, supporting email marketing program by setting up automated workflows for lead nurturing, writing, formatting, and scheduling outbound emails as directed; coordinating set up and execution of webinars. Coordinate and execute social strategy, including content and image creation and posting via collaboration with marketing team, social listening, follow-up response, and assimilation of weekly and monthly data for KPI reporting.

  • Provide support for execution of printed and digital marketing collateral including data sheets, brochures, advertising, white papers, infographics, hero images, and articles using graphic design tools. Includes development of promotional collateral and flyers for direct and indirect sales channels. Supports development of customer-facing videos and other enriched content projects as directed.

  • Conduct market research, surveys, market assessments, and market segmentation projects as directed. Conduct competitive research with focus on competitive pricing intelligence tools, competitive messaging and positioning, and competitive product features and specifications. Create competitive analysis grids, reports and other tools that will be used by marketing, sales, and service teams for pre-market projects, pricing strategy, and sales training/enableme

  • Provide lead generation support; includes ensuring regional, national, and international tradeshow leads are accurately entered into CRM/Marketing Automation Tools. In addition, Marketing/Digital Specialist conducts data mining, research initiatives, and customer follow-up as directed to drive quality of leads (specific lead sources as assigned) provided to sales team.

  • Coordinate and manage other marketing projects such as website/eComm support, develop marketing reports and dashboards from CRM, marketing software, and other data sources, and extracting information from reports and dashboards to drive data analysis and continuous improvement across team

Relative Work Experience:

  • Two-five years of related experience.

  • Experience working with technical products, clinical or research market experience preferred.

  • Experience with Marketing Automation Software (includes social media, development and design of email campaigns, blogs, landing pages, and other related content).

  • Preferred - experience conducting surveys/research projects (not required)


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or related field.

Computer Systems/Software:

  • Experience working with CRM and/or Marketing Automation Tools

  • Experience working with graphic design tools preferred.

  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook.

  • Team-oriented and able to interface collaboratively with other members of the marketing department, partners, external vendors, and consultants. Demonstrated success working within cross-functional team environment required.
