Ryder System IT Warehouse Support (IT Only) - Mon though Fri - 2nd Shift in Plainfield, Indiana

Position Description

Provides support to the IT organization's warehouse activities by ensuring the receipt, Coordination and safety of IT assets stored in Ryder's warehouse Coordinates the receiving, storing, packing and shipping of products, parts and accessories. Maintains stock records and schedules Works with Warehouse Lead to analyze inventory levels, production speed and product demand to determine reorder levels, which will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs Supports all warehouse activities to ensure that orders arrive and are dispatched on-time to appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities Assists in scheduling shipment plans to ensure efficient distribution of IT assets to satisfy customers demands Maintains daily contact with IT PC Support to track status of assets to be deployed to local and remote end-users Provides customer service support to ensure all assets are centralized in one location and monitored on a daily basis Works with Warehouse Lead in all visual inspections and provides input to the initial assessment process of all IT assets received. Coordinates with the IT Asset Management department to summarize assessment evaluation Partners with building Administration department to support the process for receiving and shipping of products, parts and accessories Partners with warehouse Lead to develop process to dispose of assets, coordinate with preferred vendors, obtain appropriate certification requirements and ensure all processes are in compliance with environmental regulations


  • Associates Degree, in Business

  • Minimum of three years related experience

  • Proficient in MS Excel


  • MIS or related discipline preferred

  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures

  • Knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in the team's concerns for users

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, and senior management

  • Ability to solve problems independently, quickly and completely and to communicate them clearly too upper management

  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals


  • Supports the overall IT inventory process in an effort to promote the re-deployment of available assets, reduce the number of new purchases, ensure live inventory data is available to all end-users, coordinate with Fixed Assets department to maintain listing of active asset records to ensure asset charge back deprecation is allocated correctly, and coordinate with Environmental department to maintain compliance with all disposal-related asset activities

  • Works with Warehouse Lead to review IT hardware resources and inventory levels to determine cost-effective solutions
