Data AnalystThe ideal candidate will architect, design and deliver data analysis, business intelligence, data warehousing and AI/machine learning data solutions. This position is involved in defining the data and analytics solution roadmap. The role requires strategic thinking and strong business collaboration skills and works with the MSI business to understand the challenges and needs of the business. This role combines a deep knowledge of the MSI business and technical mastery of the data and analytics tools. The role has experience with leading data and analytics trends and best practices and builds expert level understanding of tools and technology utilized by IT to support the business.ResponsibilitiesOwns and develops technical architecture, design and implementation of analytics platforms and solutionsCollaborates with the MSI business to define and develop the data architecture and data solution roadmapDesigns and implements appropriate data architecture, data pipelines, reporting, dashboarding, processes and quality controls to enable data-driven decision makingLeads initiatives to develop self-service BI solutions to help solve complex business challengesActs as a subject matter expert for technical guidance, solution design and best practices within the Data and Analytics teamRemains current on data visualization and data integration technology trendsBuilds and maintains push reports to automate other analysis taking placeOther duties as assignedCOMMUNICATION SKILLSStrong communication skills. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelors Degree or equivalent work experienceDemonstrated success working with stakeholders and implementing end-to-end data solutions including data model, data pipelines and data visualization products to solve complex business requirementsStrong business acumen, critical thinking and technical abilities along with problem solving skills5+ years experience in designing and implementing DW architectures, OLAP technologies, schemas, and aggregation techniquesExperience in development of BI and big data reporting solutions using tools such as WebFocus, Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, MicroStrategy, or Business Objects5 years experience architecting database management systems with traditional and big data technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Spark, etc. and cloud tools in AWS, Azure, Google or equivalent. AWS or Azure preferredPrior experience with large datasets and databasesAdvanced SQL and programming experience with at least one language such as python, R, .Net, Java, C++, etc.Strong statistical background in regressions, testing, distributions, etc.Excellent communication, presentation and data storytelling skillsAbility to perform in a high-pressure environment and ensure adherence to Corporate Code of ConductBachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience1 - 2 years' Data Analysis experienceProficient in SQLThis position can work out of our St. Charles, IL and/or Portage, IN location.
