The Role: EmNet, a Xylem brand, is seeking a multidisciplinary engineer with optimization and hydraulic modeling skills and a passion for using data to improve urban watershed environmental and societal impact. This position offers the opportunity to join EmNet’s driven, contrarian, creative experts in their endeavor to use high tech tools to solve age-old infrastructure problems.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Solve complicated, open-ended water resources problems by applying optimization techniques and innovative data analytics over sensor data and hydraulic models.

  • Develop and manage large datasets. Communicate summaries and conclusions drawn from data in clear and concise ways, visually and verbally.

  • Translate data analytics into language understood by water resource engineers

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to develop new skills

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Must have programming experience with hydraulic and hydrological models such as the Environmental Protection Agency Storm Water Management Model (EPA SWMM).

  • Must have experience developing and managing optimization tools for hydraulic models,

  • Must have experience developing advanced GIS data analysis with ArcPy(Arc GIS).

  • Must have a Master's Degree, preference given to PhD candidates.
