ICU Medical Software Engineer, Embedded Development in TN, Indiana

Job Title Software Engineer, Embedded Development Position Summary This role is involved in working on next generation infusion platform and developing feature rich touch-based UI on IMX-7 based platform. It includes integrating latest technologies (NFC, HAPTIC and Smart Battery) and interfacing with PMC module and supporting several mechanisms like cassette based large volume infusion devices, syringe-based devices and ambulatory devices. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Develop software/features for next generation infusion pump • Debug and test infusion software • Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers • Hands-on software developer on Embedded devices • Needs to handle customer issues and issues from verification promptly, reproduce the issue and root cause and fix the problem Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications • Strong in C , Embedded systems, RT Linux, RTOS • Good understanding of object-oriented concepts, Inter-process communication, software download, fault tolerance • Good understanding of software development process • Good understanding of IPC mechanism • Good understanding of OO design principle • Good communication skills Education and Experience • Bachelor’s in engineering in Computer Science/ Electronics and Communication or Electrical (CSE/ ECE/ EEE) or related fields • 1 to 4 years of development experience in C (Embedded Devices’ knowledge is a plus) • Expert at debugging in an Embedded environment • Prior experience on Real-time OS like VxWorks, Linux RT, PSOS, RTEMS • Prior experience in a Multi-threaded Application environment • Prior experience in developing applications from scratch • Worked in Agile Development environment • In-depth understanding of various C Design patterns • Medical Devices Development experience is a plus Minimum Qualifications • Must be at least 18 years of age • Must pass pre-employment background verification Travel Requirements • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time Physical Requirements and Work Environment • This is largely a sedentary role • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time; depending on the machine they are operating • Operator is required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data ICU Medical is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability ” Title: Software Engineer, Embedded Development Location: IN-TN-Chennai Requisition ID: 21300156
