Our diverse laboratories perform routine and specialty analytical testing for compliance, safety, certification and verification purposes.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform analysis of instrumental and classical wet chemistry techniques for the laboratory utilizing EPA methodologies. Also involves preparation of samples, reagents and standards; interpretation and input of data into laboratory LIMS system; evaluation of quality control data; and maintaining laboratory records.
This is a SEASONAL Position
Follow appropriate methodologies and SOP’s as required.
Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.
Operation of Lachat Auto-analyzer.
Solve analysis problems as needed, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
Interpret samples and data and upload data into laboratory LIMS system.
Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by Laboratory Supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned and directed.
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word.
Multi-tasked, organized, and detail oriented.
Able to work well in a team and has problem solving capabilities.
Minimum of a 4 year Degree in a Science Curriculum
3-5 years’ experience in an environmental laboratory setting, including minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a Lachat auto-analyzer
Proficient English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with staff, management and clients in a professional manner.
Strong commitment to quality and integrity.
The ability to stand for intervals of up to 8 hours while working;
Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with co-workers and managers;
Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate equipment and handle glassware;
Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment;
Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
